Welcome to The Kensington Club!

The Kensington Club is nestled on the south side of Langerman's Kop between Juno and Ivanhoe Streets in the Johannesburg suburb of Kensington. It is one of the oldest bowling clubs in the golden city. The founders of the club met on the site in 1914 at the foot of the Koppie and resolved to form a club consisting of two sections - tennis and bowls.

The Club has since decided to let the Tennis facilities go and to rather focus on Social & Bowls memberships.

We offer safe and secure parking, a character-filled pub that is open 7 days a week to members, and a variety of space available for hire-purposes. In addition we have well kept bowling greens, catering facilities with a distrinct family-orientated feel.

Our active social calendar provides many fun-filled opportunities to get out with (or without!) the family and enjoy good food, catch-up with friends and meet new people.

The Kensington Club is situated in the heart of Kensington and is just bursting with desire to provide a holistic contribution to the community’s health, wealth and well being.

The Kensington Club is steeped in history, tradition and culture. It offers a unique get-together facility for members of the community that desire a safe / secure space to enjoy good company, bowls-for-the-20th-century, friends and family fun.
